The Friends of Westport Island History is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving, advancing and showcasing island history. A cornerstone of its annual fundraising is a summer event at an historic location. Combined with a complementary exhibit at the History Center — which will be on view throughout the year — the fundraiser is at the heart of documenting a new chapter of island history each year.

THE ROLE OF SPONSORSHIPS

Sponsorships support the non-profit Friends, help underwrite the annual fundraising gala and exhibit, and help keep the starting ticket price accessible to all. Sponsors may provide financial support at Platinum, Gold and Silver levels to support the annual gala, provide in-kind hospitality goods or services, or support a chosen Friends activity.

Sponsor recognition may include: recognition on an exhibit plaque at the History Center; listing on the Event Invitation, in promotional media, and on the Event Poster; free tickets to our annual fundraiser; recognition on the Friends website; and recognition in Friend’s newsletters and annual reports.
