It “takes a village” to organize, preserve, research, and make our history accessible to family members, friends and researchers.  Our village depends on volunteers to maintain the collections, staff the organization, and staff a Board. Our Board works with the Town, manages our finances and programs, and develops support for Westport Island history.  We also rely on our Friends Members, the Town, donors, grantors, events and the occasional quilt raffle or “lemonade stand” to pay for the History Center and the care and security of our collections.
